Beginning Tuesday, June 14th and running through September 6th, locals and visitors alike will be sure to have an up-close raptor sighting at the Greenspace on the Block, the historic community space in the heart of downtown Jackson protected by the Jackson Hole Land Trust. Weekly on Tuesdays from noon until 2 p.m., Teton Raptor Center’s educators and live avian ambassadors will be on the Block providing up-close, informal opportunities to learn more about the important roles that birds of prey play in our ecosystem. This 13-week series is sponsored by the Bank of Jackson Hole and presented in collaboration with the Jackson Hole Land Trust, which successfully preserved the greenspace and historic character of the Genevieve Block in 2019.
“Bank of Jackson Hole is pleased to partner with Teton Raptor Center to bring to life the new summer event series, Birds on the Block,” stated BoJH President, Dawn Pruett. “This is an amazing program for both locals and visitors alike which highlights important conservation efforts in the beautiful new Greenspace the Jackson Hole Land Trust and the entire Jackson Hole community worked so hard to preserve.”
In addition to this new summer program series, Teton Raptor Center will be presenting many other free opportunities to meet the birds throughout the community:
