In general, the following information is usually required during the loan process:
- Photo ID and proof of Social Security number
- Residence addresses for the past two years
- Employment history and tax returns for the past two years (personal and business)
- Pay stubs for the last 30 days
- W-2 forms for the past 2 years, K-1 forms (if applicable)
- Profit & loss statement and balance sheet (if self-employed)
- Bank statements for the past three months
- Investment account statements for the past 2 months
- Retirement account and liquidity statements for the past Three months
- Estimated value of personal property
- Personal loan account information; balances and monthly payments
- Explanation of credit report anomalies if applicable
If you already have a contract on a house:
- Purchase Agreement
- Copy of legal description and MLS sheet
- If selling your current home, copy of listing contract
- If you have sold your current home, copy of settlement statement (HUD-1)
